I probably won't make it or be late tomorrow for the RvB screenings. I've only just been told today that I need (or should) help clean leaves off my aunt's roof or something like that. She can't do it herself and the place she lives at always sheds a billion leaves everywhere. I guess how things turn out. :- /

Hopefully I can direct-deposit some money into a savings account every pay, and save up for a down payment once it's been a year or two. I'm really excited at the prospect of being free to do whatever, if that makes sense.

This helped, thank you! It's so often that people say "buy buy buy", but I think in my case it's okay to hold off on that for a while. Now I just have to hope I can find a great apartment, once the time comes.

I'm hoping to keep my kids in this school district, so they won't have to change schools - and that means I'll be here a long time. My main problem with buying is that I already feel so... trapped, stuck, etc by this whole situation, that I really think I want to rent a while.

But at the same time, it seems like such a waste if I were able to find something affordable, you know? Except I'm not sure how to gauge affordability, and how long I'd have to stay there to make it pay off. I figure it's better to start thinking about it now, rather than when the house is sold and it's time to move.

So, funny that we were talking about Sufjan yesterday and that I mentioned he had become "strange." There's a new interview with him that basically codifies what I was saying and irritates me at the same time.
