    Terrence Howard wasn't in the second Iron Man movie because he was asked, "One more time?"

    "Time? One times one is one!" Then he left production. Then the second Iron Man came out and he thought, "One Iron Man time One Time equals Two Iron Man. ONE TIMES ONE IS TWO!!!"

    Good way to think of multiplication (and squares/roots) is by a thinking in dimensions, the same way you measure wood dimensions. A 1 x 1 piece of wood, with X=wood, and where X is the final number you're interested in, would be represented by
    1
    1 X
    1 piece of X(wood)
    And a 2x1 as
    1 2
    1 X X
    2 pieces of X(wood)
    From here, you can do shapes that make logical sense for squares and square roots. For example, 2 squared, make a perfect square 2 long and 2 high.

    1 2
    1 X X
    2 X X

    4 pieces of wood
    Square roots? Draw a square that's equal distance on each side and count how long one side is.
    x x x
    x x x
    x x x
    9 wood, square root of 9 is 3, which is either the top row or the side column.

    So, with the new "This program was recorded on" thing and the video player's color scheme looking the same, it leads me to wonder: are you guys planning some big aesthetic overhaul for the site or something? Because if so, it looks like you guys would be changing it to some overly-modern, clean-looking style, which I honestly feel wouldn't mesh well with a lot of what Rooster Teeth does.

    If one quantity of one atom is actually two atoms, then every instant (infinitely small period of time) the universe would double in mass. This does not happen therefore Terryology == false.

    I find it amusing that a man who flunked one degree in chemical engineering and is in his middle years is trying to disprove millennia of mathematicians, especially one that created calculus before he was twenty years of age. Also during his quote he mentions the "square root of four is two, but we are told the square root of two is two-". Maybe this is where he is getting confused, the square root of two is actually 1.41421356237.

    He literally says "this will blow the minds of pythagoras or Einstein" but every elementary student watching this is just flatly saying "no".

    While Terrance Howard obviously has no grasp of how numbers or math work, he was screwed out of being in the later Iron Man movies. He was the first person to sign onto the original Iron Man project, and as such the studio was obligated to pay him the most; since they were not going to be paying him more than RDjr for playing a supporting character, they dropped him and brought in Cheadle.

    Also, in Speed it was the woman's purse being moved that ruined the video loop.

  • brittybritt

    1 year ago

    I think where Terrence gets confused in multiplication is the fact that 1x1 isn't two sets of one, its one. If you have 3x1 you're saying you either have 3 sets of one, 3, or one set of 1, also 3. So 1x1 can't be two because having one set of 1 gives you one. 2x2 for example gives 4 because there are two sets of two, and so on and so forth. Also, no one says the square root of two is two, the square root of two is 1.412

    Terrence Howard once gave a lecture at my college. He told us how the phases of the moon are dictated by how close the moon to the earth, not by relative angle to the sun. He said that for every eight elements on the periodic table there are five hidden ones because of the 5 sharp notes in an octave. Maybe the sharp elements are where the extra one come from in 1*1?

    Okay, I think I figured it out. Consider the following dumb missteps:

    [2² = 4 = 2 × 2] and [√4 = 2]

    [1² = ? = 1 × 1] and [√? = 1]

    If you are completely ignorant to math then looking at this, you could make the mistake of thinking that the (y²) relationship is a different way of noting (y × 2) rather than (y × y).

    I can only imagine that drugs were a factor in this whole thing.
