Correct me if I'm wrong, but the word "I" when used in a list of people is correct and "me" is incorrect. Like, "Gavin, Gus, and I" is correct, but "Gavin, Gus, and Me" is incorrect.

I liked the grammar portion of the podcast! :P And seriously, until we're linked up to a hive mind, let's all try to keep our shit together and write properly. It's really weird when people don't actually take the time to figure out what they're writing/saying. ("Oh hmm wait "could of" doesn't look right... What was that thing I learned in primary school? Could've! Derp!") I gotta think these people don't have desk jobs, because you'd sound like a bleeding idiot when you send emails to clients and your superiors with could've/could of, and I/me, etc.

I'm finally caught up with the RT Podcast. I stopped watching Rooster Teeth podcasts sometime in April of 2016 and I've spent the last three months binge watching them and their respective post shows. It's been a blast.

A vacation to me is experience over expense. Spare no expense for a time well had kinda thing. Everyone needs time away from work. If you think thats a waste of time and money, then that's your opinion, but its mandatory in business for a reason. I love my job but would be lying if I said I didnt hate it sometimes. Hell the only reason I was able to, and able to go to RTX is because of my boss.(fam loaned me money) I'm lucky tho that I have that liberty. Some of us cant get that one day off that we requested months ago. Or one day depression grabs hold but you cant afford the day off. Or cant keep up with rent, so have to take a check instead of that time home with the kids. I feel like theres a difference between "Vacation and Time off" . Rather, all vacations are time off, but not all time off is a vacation ya know?

Gavin, I won't give you shit for your desktop cause I used to do the same exact thing. However, I will say that I decided one day that I didn't like the desktop icons at all and since I never saw my desktop anyway (at least 1 window is on both screens), I deleted all of the shortcuts and organized my start menu into several folders. It may not be as quick, however it's a lot cleaner.

Becca, you are awesome. I have that same pet peeve about "and I" cause people are stupid and can't form the sentence right in the first place. And Barbara nailed the explanation.

Cast iron is really easy to clean if it's well seasoned and the pan is preheated before cooking. Also using salt as an abrasive to scrub the pan out makes it easy.

When RT people say pretentious things, like Becca's grammar stuff, everyone loves it. When someone in the comments says anything pretentious, they're down-voted a bunch. Just let people act like they're smart, it doesn't matter.

I think thats just a byproduct of the community on the site, if anything can even remotely be considered negative or a critisism, it'll get downvoted to oblivion.

I was a little concerned by Burnie's comments on holidays to LA. Is it really not a good option? I'm from the UK and I've never been to the west side of america before. I'm planning a trip in the summer  (7 days in LA, 3 in Vegas and 3 in Yosemite.  Should I look at other areas near by instead?

Wash your cast iron skillet with hot soap and water just like any pan. Don't use a metal scrubby though. Next, dry it. Put it back on the heat and put a generous dab of olive oil in the pan. Let the pan heat through, wipe the oil around the pan thoroughly with a thickly wrapped papertowel, let cool and put it away. easy as pie and better than any nonstick pan.

Here's the thing with grammar - it's constantly fluctuating. Yeah, sure, in an official document, or business email, or whatever - use what is deemed proper at the time as best you know how. But otherwise, if you can communicate effectively, it doesn't really matter whether the rules of grammar absolutely agree with how you write or speak. Sure, it never hurts to have correct grammar, but it shouldn't be a deal breaker if communication isn't impeded.

That's my opinion at least :)

On the topic of crepes, they're real easy to make, the dough has only 4 ingredients and then you just pour, bake & flip.

Becca! Fellow grammar nerds unite! My biggest grammar pet peeve these days is when people don't use possessive pronouns in front of gerunds. Like, "Me going to the store really made her happy," when it should be "MY going to the store really made her happy." Same as the me/I thing, scripted material totally does this and I don't want it to become the rule!

At the same time, I can't get mad at people who don't follow this rule; it's kind of an obscure thing to get upset about.  sweat_smile
