Enjoy the Show: HORROR MOVIES - #6

Blumhouse Productions plants $5 million in the ground, waits a few months until a scary movie like Get Out blooms from the earth and then they pick their tens of millions of dollars in profit. Simple agricultural science. This episode is sponsored by Blue Apron (http://cook.ba/2l0izCT)

There's a B List horror movie called Grabbers which is truly incredible and really funny. It's about aliens who want to drink the blood of humans but they are allergic to alcohol, so the solution of course is to keep everyone safe by getting them crazy drunk

Honestly, Eraserhead obliterated my soul, I have never had such a visceral reaction to a film. I've never felt so dirty after watching something

Get out was amazing, which I have not said about any horror movie in years. My favorite horror movie is John Carpenter's "The Thing". Such a brilliant movie that holds up very well.

If you're going to play games like "Guess How Much it Made" and also have an audio only podcast as one of the methods of distribution remember to say what the answer is outloud. Good show otherwise.

The brother from Get Out is Caleb Landry Jones, he plays Banshee in X-Men First Class. Such a good actor, definitely should be cast more

    Nice giant fucking banana Andy.

That feeling of being there but you can't do anything is quite terrifying.

Love Tyler in this show more and more.

Blum House is a not hardcore horror fans go to production company. they do make some good films but i feel on your average basis a lot of their movies are just cash grabs. but if youre looking for a good place for horror news come check us out at Modernhorrors.com

Another low budget Blumhouse horror movie that I really like: Creep. written, directed and staring Patrick Kack-Brice and Mark Duplass, it is a found footage movie with only two characters. Very cool. Pretty creepy.

First horror movie I watched was Village of the Damned. My dad got it for me when I was seven, for some reason. It might not be too scary but I still really like it.

A big part of horror, besides the pure psychological and relatable parts, is also seeing it with other people and the energy of the room/theater. I watched Paranormal Activity the second night they showed it in theaters (when it was only in 4 cities, so no one could very easily spoil it) and the best part is the way the audience reacted together. Same thing with Get Out, which is a fantastic movie on its own, but seeing it in a theater was the best way to see it.

Who has seen They Live? Seems pretty similar to what is going on right now. Thing with strange skin tries to control people and rule over them. Someone needs to call Keith David. RIP Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Get Out was my favourite movie that i've seen in theatres in a while. I was hoping they would talk about the audience experience with this movie more; every second of comedy relief and the final scene where it got violent was very much earned.

The movie that fucked with me the most was the film adaptation of Stephen King's 1408. The psychological aspect of it and the isolation in that one room made me feel claustrophobic as fuck.

i saw something on the original blair witch. apparently the actors were just told to walk around and interview people but they didn't know there were plants in the neighborhood, so they thought there was actually something going on in the area.

My only issue is story spoilage.  There's got to be a way to work around specifics of a film or television program.
